Long time no see! Let's prep for drift!

It’s been about a year since I’ve seen the Silvia, so I wasn’t too sure what to expect. Spiders and creatures inside the car were my first thoughts, haha. But, to my surprise, the car was pretty ready to go - just a fluid change, nut and bolt check, and quick alignment! Andy and I got right down to business! He had to replace a rear LCA after a little guardrail tap in the mountains last weekend. As we waited for that to arrive, we dialed in his rear alignment and added an engine damper to help with engine movement.

Bozo Style Z4. Not my cup of tea, but cool nonetheless!

Ofcourse it pours on prep day… Luckily we had some covering to keep us dry. Andy’s 180 is too damn cool!

Nothing out of the ordinary here! Basic SR with S15 turbo. Plenty of power for any of the local tracks and mountain passes.

Cars are kept very street friendly. Most drivers prefer to drive their cars to and from events, but it really stems down to being able to drive to the mountains without the need for a hauler - since they wouldn’t fit up these tiny one lane Japanese roads anyway!

All in all, things went very smoothly for a prep day. It’s rare to get sleep before an event day, but we were in bed by 8pm, haha! 5am comes quick and being well-rested is so nice!

Mountain carnage. Not bad, but you should see the AVS Model 5 wheel that touched the guardrail - I’ll get pics later!

These would be a few dollars each at Home Depot, but they’re less than 100Y (~$1). Japan is awesome!

Take a Redbull, add the best flavor ever, multiply the caffeine by 100 (not really) and you have REAL GOLD. This stuff is legit Gold. Talk about a wake me up!

Felt really good to be prepped early! What better way than to celebrate with a cruise to the Sushi Train!

This place is so good. Hands down the sweetest rice i’ve ever tasted. If you love sushi, then you know that the rice is SO important.

100yen per plate. Unreal deal for how delicious it is. After crushing about 10 plates, it was dessert time!

Andy recommended I try this and DAMN I’m glad I did. It shaved ice, but the softest, smoothest, lightest, sweetest ice I’ve ever tasted. Fresh strawberry…stuff.. on top made it one of my favorite desserts.

And just like that, the day was over! Quick 7/11 stop for some snacks and we packed it in for the night.
